Tryon Creek State Park - sawdust - birds & insects

            Tryon Creek State Park, in Portland, Oregon, is a jewel.  On the day I went there was a gentle rain - not much, but very welcome in a drought.  

I especially enjoyed the play of light on and through a variety of leaves and moss.

There is an ongoing effort to protect and restore this watershed, to provide salmon habitat, slow runoff into the Willamette, and enhance its resilience in the face of warming climate.
