Network Rail Test Train, 31 & DBSO at Kiveton - 8734

            Much has gone from this area right next to the Chesterfield Canal and this side marks the area down the the coal staithes on the canal, now a walking track connecting up with the canal towpath, just out of sight on the right; the space where the goods yard used to be being marked by the high wall on the left in the distance. Heading off now towards the east, through Worksop and then a change of direction at various places, Retford, Cottam Power Station, Gainsborough and Barton-on-Humber. The rear of the set is being brought up by another very nicely turned out loco, this time in the form of class 31, 31465 and this is the 3Q44 working, terminating finally at Doncaster, tonight at 21:44, 5 minutes late after a start this morning at Derby at 11:22. Very pleasant day for some, though I guess there was much data logging going on as the set whizzed about over the rails on the network in north Lincolnshire.
