The Ángel Mateos Museum is located in the municipality of Doñinos de Salamanca, a town hall that belongs to the Salamanca district. The works on the museum began in February 1997 and ended two years later, in July 1999. 420 m³ of concrete were used in its construction and at its inauguration, in May 2002, it was baptized as the Concrete Museum.

The museum's mission is to preserve and disseminate the work of the Salamanca sculptor Ángel Mateos Bernal. Ángel Mateos is considered the only sculptor who has developed all his work in concrete, a material that gives his sculpture a resounding monumental and architectural character.
