Dusk, Corfu Town

            First evening in town along one of the main streets which were unexpectedly quiet. It seems is a good time to visit Corfu during late summer given the peak season has already passed. Church of Agios Spyridon in the background. 

There was a football derby between the Athenian clubs that night. Perhaps most local folks were staying at home watching football. Sure enough, we discovered later a few of restaurants along the seafront were full of football punters watching the match in big screens.
