            La cigüeña blanca (Ciconia ciconia) es una especie de ave Ciconiiforme de gran tamaño, perteneciente a la familia Ciconiidae. Su plumaje es mayoritariamente blanco con negro en las alas, y las patas y el pico de los adultos adquieren un color rojo. Mide un promedio de 100 y 115 cm desde la punta del pico hasta el final de la cola, y sus alas pueden llegar a tener una envergadura entre 155 y 215 cm. Las dos subespecies, que son ligeramente diferentes por su tamaño, se aparean en Europa, el noreste y sur de África y el sudoeste de Asia. El 25% de la población mundial está concentrada en Polonia.

The white stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a species of large Ciconiiform bird, belonging to the Ciconiidae family.  Their plumage is mostly white with black on the wings, and the legs and beak of the adults turn red.  It measures an average of 100 and 115 cm from the tip of the bill to the end of the tail, and its wings can have a wingspan of between 155 and 215 cm.  The two subspecies, which are slightly different in size, mate in Europe, Northeast and South Africa, and Southwest Asia.  25% of the world's population is concentrated in Poland.
