Rollei 35 Tessar and Rollei 35 Sonnar

            The Rollei 35 with Tessar 3,5/ 40mm lens (left) was manufactured from 1966 to 1981 in Brunswick, Germany and Singapore, the camera in the photograph was made between April 1973 and October 1973 in Singapore. The Rollei 35 S (Sonnar 2.8/40, right) was manufactured from 1974 to 1981 in Singapore, last batches did not have serial numbers, the lens serial number was also the camera serial number. About 2000000 of Rollei 35 cameras were sold through its regular production and "Special" edition models.
