Still Hanging On In 2021

            Went out to my old haunt at Blenheim Beach near me and was wrapped to see the old girl still hanging on for dear life. Time and lack of soil though is taking a toll on her for sure the old tree has gotten slimmer if that is even possible the trunk and branches seem to be withering away , she doesn't have much of a canopy left either, like an old woman losing her hair, Call me mad but I stood for a while in the late afternoon with the beach to myself and talked to her, She has been one of the constant beauties in my life for the past 21 years. The little tree that used to stand next to her has toppled over
