            Once upon a time a little girl used to sit and listen to her father tell her stories of lands far, far away. Lands that he had travelled to in his twenty years as a sailor.
One of those lands was called New Zealand and was as far away from the little girl's home as could possibly be. Her father loved that land very much. So much so that he lived there for many years before travelling back across the seas to England.

That little girl was me. When I was fifty I moved to New Zealand and lived in the city that my dad had lived in all those years ago. I don't know if he every came to this bay, about 12 miles from the city, but I do know that the harbour that I see from my office window is where he worked. I think dad would be pleased that I managed to move here and live 'happy ever after'.
