            I enjoy nature in its many aspects. Spending time in nature centers me and brings tranquility during the most difficult of times. Having said this, you may quote me when I say, "I hate these damn beetles!"

These beetles bite. When they are accidently squashed they emit a foul odor. Recently one landed in my mouth during a bike ride and it was extremely bitter to the taste.Mother Nature, you could do soooo much better.  End of rant.

BTW-I came across this cluster on driftwood during a recent beach walk.
