Industrial bowels - a photo on Flickriver

Industrial bowels

When I saw this room I immediatley knew I wanted to steal this photo. I moved a wooden stepladder that I found in the room and climbed over it in order to reach this angle. I've made several tries but none convinced me, until I decided to place the strobe beneath on the ground and pointing up, to project the shadow of a grid onto the ceiling. The final shot I obtained finally satisfied the original idea =)

- Strobist: One SB-800 placed beneath the grid, on a tripod, and facing up at 1/16, set to something like 85mm
- Treatment: Levels, selective color, dodge, burn and slight sharpening
