Sesuvium portulacastrum flower and leaves

            ʻĀkulikuli (akulikuli, sea purslane in English) is a common indigenous coastal plant along shorelines in Hawai'i. The plant grows on both sandy beaches and rocky shore lines and is tolerant of flooding by salt water.
