Downtown Manhattan from Jersey City (21 March 2024, 19:00ish)

            The skyline's right there – I'll keep going back from time to time to see how the light is, document what's changed, and try out combinations of gadgets and techniques.

(this is an approximately-400-megapixel stitch from some GF100 II frames)

The light was actually warmer than this, and it was pretty, but I cooled the image a little so that subject color differences wouldn't be masked too much by the warmth.

Handheld (because the wooden pier I was on vibrates some and isn't an optimal thing to support a tripod).  Counted on the camera's IBIS, which did an impressive job.

Enjoy pushing in for local details – have you found the airplane, and the sea bird?  And the other maybe-sea bird?

Note that you can't see this all the way at full res using the Flickr web interface; for that you have to download the Original-sized image and examine it in the local picture viewer of your choice.  I've allowed full-res downloads for any logged-in Flickr user.
