2013.4440b The Lighthouse on Eilean Musdile at the southern tip of the island of Lismore.

This lighthouse was designed and built in 1833 by Robert Stevenson (1772-1850), the grandfather of the famous Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson. Robert's sons David, Alan and Thomas (RLS's father) were all lighthouse engineers, as were David's sons David and Charles--The Lighthouse Stevensons.

Photo taken from the ferry from Oban to Mull at 12.20pm. The view is to the north-east towards the Loch Creran area.
