Brian on Dartmoor-NIK_1015 - a photo on Flickriver

            First, many thanks to those who sent their kind messages about my husband when he fell ill. 
For those who don’t know, Brian had a bad stroke in January which left him paralysed down his left side. He has since made quite a good recovery and regained a fair bit of movement in his leg but is not yet able to walk. Unfortunately he is still unable to move his left arm and hand, so at the moment is quite severely disabled though we hope for a gradual improvement.  
He has been home now for four weeks and because of his disability needs a lot of care. This of course means I am unable to get out on to my beloved Dartmoor and pursue my love of landscape photography. Nor do I have much spare time to indulge in processing some of my archived photos, but hope to do so whenever I can! 
I shall be dipping into Flickr at every opportunity, as I have really missed my Flickr friends and viewing all your wonderful photos. I look forward to becoming a proper active member again, but till then, will post and leave comments whenever I get the chance.

The photo here (of Brian) was taken at the same time as a similar one I posted in February 2011. Converted to black and white in Lightroom, added some grain (for a film look), and cropped.  Not photographically great, but a reminder of when he was able to walk with me. Perhaps we will again? 
Right now, I just ache to get on the moor again and start snapping.
