Flowers dense and bright - a photo on Flickriver

            After a winter and spring of adequate precipitation and no visits by giant herds of sheep, the White River Plateau was dense in flowers, bright and varied in color. The hillsides around Meadow Creek Lake looked like this--an absolute delight.

Winter has returned twice in 10 days--I measure 12 inches last week and then an additional 16 inches of snow today. Yearning for warm weather, flowers and pollinators.
