MG-A Roadster - a photo on Flickriver

MG-A Roadster

            Taken in the Deer Park suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.

When leaving a deli, my lady spotted this car and several other interesting older cars across the RR tracks, so I made it a point to come back to take some shots.  I'm not sure what was going on, but it appears to be parked behind a building partially used by a body or restoration shop which was locked up tight and had no sign that really told me what it was.  From a distance the cars looked in decent condition, but when I got close, I could see that most needed at least some obvious work.  This one suffers from some rust and needs a paint job among other less obvious things.  Hopefully, it will be restored to it's former glory.  I'm guessing it is a model from the late 50's or early 60's.

I owned a MG-A roadster like this back in the day and loved to drive it.  The problem was it was too frequently in the shop.  Since it was my first car, it has a special place in my heart regardless of some of the mechanical headaches I experienced.  I have to say it was the probably the best handling car I ever drove with the possible exception of a borrowed Porsche I drove (but carefully) for a short time.  

I've taken and posted a lot of car shots including several MGs, but this is the first MG-A roadster I've come across which seems somewhat strange.  I have a MG-A coupe in the album.
