Radio Liberty I

La emisora de Radio Liberty comenzó a operar en 1959, en plena Guerra Fría, y su misión era emitir contenido de Estados Unidos y pro-Occidente hacia los países comunistas. Sus antenas tenían 13 torres, dos de ellas de 165 m de altura y una longitud total y más de 1 km de longitud.

El 22 de Marzo del año 2006 a las 10:30 de la mañana, las torres que aguantaban todo el sistema de antenas fueron derribadas con explosivos, de esta manera se daba fin a unas de las ultimas instalaciones concebidas para la guerra fría, solo queda en pie las construcciones donde estaban los transmisores, los talleres, las instalaciones de montaje de audio y la biblioteca.

The station of Radio Liberty began to operate in 1959, in the heat of Cold War, and its mission was to emit content of the United States and pro-West towards the communist countries. Its antennas had 13 towers, two of them 165 m high and a total length of more than 1 km
.
On March 22, 2006 at 10:30 am, the towers that supported the antennas were shot down with explosives, thus ending one of the last installations conceived for the cold war, only the buildings where there were the transmitters, the workshops, the audio assembly facilities and the library.
