Cormorants Bridge Autumn 5778 B - a photo on Flickriver

            Cormorants in Autumn and the Weyerhaeuser Centennial Bridge at the Japanese Garden at Sacajawea Park in Longview, Washington in Cowltiz County.

I spotted this potential scene last summer and was waiting for a calm morning with fog in peak Autumn to shoot it, but we didn’t have many foggy mornings this year.  I’ll be back to shoot it again, hopefully with fog, next year.

Cormorants love to dry their wings on this particular branch on Sacajawea Lake, but it still took a lot of luck (and about 140 shots) to get three birds on the branch spreading their wings at the same time.
