Half sphere of light - a photo on Flickriver

            Sunrise over the sea between the Three Chimneys of Sant Adrià and two more of TERSA waste treatment plant. The Three Chimneys of Sant Adrià have become an icon of the maritime skyline of Barcelona and, above all, of the neighboring town of Sant Adrià de Besòs since, in 2008, the citizens of the town decided in a referendum they should remain once the thermal power plant, vestige of the last years of Franco regime, of which they were part was closed in 2011. On the other hand, TERSA is a waste treatment and selection and environmental services management company that operates alongside the Forum Port. The photograph is taken from Doctor Pla i Armengol Gardens, at the intersection between Mare de Déu de Montserrat Avenue and the mountain side end of Cartagena Street, in Guinardó neighborhood of Barcelona.
