            Looking Close On Friday-A Single Egg

This is one of my favourite Faberge Eggs.

Here's a little history about it: Ornate jeweler-style, museum-quality, enameled eggs like this were first made famous by the House of Romanov's imperial jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé in the 19th century. Empress Valentina is topped with a tiny crown. Cast in pewter alloy using the ancient lost wax method before the brilliant blue and green enamel, faux jewels, and tiny embellishments are added.
