Belief - a photo on Flickriver

Belief

            I made my way down to the beach a couple of mornings back for what was my first sunrise shoot for quite some time. It seemed that it would be an atmospheric morning of muted tones, which I was fine with, when all of a sudden, as if somebody had flicked a switch, everything was illuminated with dazzling sunrise colour. I've witnessed a lot of sunrises but not one which changed character so quickly and dramatically. This is one of the images I ended up with as I fumbled about, out of practice. Apart from correcting the wonky horizon and pulling up the exposure a bit (the five stop filter seemed to throw the AE off) this is as captured. Hope  I find you safe and well and I get the chance to visit your streams over the next couple of days.
