All I managed to get .. - a photo on Flickriver

            .. was the rear end of a fast disappearing Aardvark (Orycteropus afer); all that I could get on camera. Sob.

Aardvarks were one of the primary reasons for coming to Tswalu in July. Sigh. 

This was actually the second one we saw that evening. The first one disappeared even faster than this one (our guide had been reaching to switch off the ignition and had nudged the horn in his excitement at finally locating an aardvark (we had spent days and hours, and continued to spend days and hours after this).
