The Fighting Pit of Mophet - a photo on Flickriver

            The oasis town of Mophet is situated along the oil road and is an important stop for travellers of all sorts between Petraea and Barqa. Its foremost attraction is the fighting pit, where large sums of money change hands over who will win. Today, the highlight is a fight between the fierce Mitgardian bear Bruno the Strong and a bestiarius.
