El Malecón es un tramo de costa a lo largo de la costa norte de Cuba en la ciudad de La Habana. La mayoría de los viejos edificios aún muestran algunas de su encanto de estilo antiguo, aunque pocos están en bastante buena forma, incluso para las condiciones de vida más elementales. (Aunque, la gente vive en ellas de todos modos.) La buena noticia es que hay un enorme esfuerzo de reconstrucción en curso, la mayoría de los cuales está siendo financiado por España con nuevas iniciativas de desarrollo. Aquí, Cuba ha permitido a los inversores extranjeros poseer hasta un 50% de un negocio o propiedad (el otro 50% es propiedad de la propia Cuba).

The Malecón is a stretch of coastline along the north shore of Cuba in the city of Havana. Most of the old buildings still show some of their old style charm, although few are in good enough shape for even the most basic living conditions. (Although, people live in them anyway.) The good news is that there is an enormous reconstruction effort underway, most of which is being financed by Spain under new development initiatives. Here, Cuba has allowed foreign investors to own up to 50% of a business or property (the other 50% owned by Cuba itself).
