Place Mairie 18e Paris- café Nord Sud

A very simple picture, everyday occurrence for me while I was in Paris, I could never make such a good expresso and I loved sitting in a café, waiting resting or writing. But I still do not understand why this picture is prefered by so many.

Simple. Paris. Café. I was waiting to meet someone at the time and playing around with my camera. Somehow, it became one of the most interesting pictures I published. Why?

Perhaps, with stories, speeches, humour is the same? Simple works the best? It speaks to many? Easy to understand? The project 4 from the basic toastmasters manual is about 'simple and clear' also.

Yes, a bit also of rethoric, in this picture, would be the diagonal working well, conducting the eyes. Three things, not two or four, as in speaking too. Contrast, also, effective in picture and speech.

I should make a speech, using pictures to illustrate story techniques! where can I find a place to try them out? Experiment?
