Río Tiétar

            El río Tiétar es un río de la Península Ibérica, que nace en el extremo oriental de la Sierra de Gredos, en el término del municipio madrileño de Rozas de Puerto Real.
A lo largo de sus ciento cincuenta kilómetros discurre al sur de la Sierra de Gredos, de la que recibe el caudal de las quebradas de la montaña en su margen derecha, mientras que sirve de frontera entre las provincias de Ávila y Toledo, para luego adentrarse en Cáceres. , donde desemboca en el Tajo, antes de pasar por la comarca de La Vera.
