"LIQUIDES ENFLAMMES EXPERIENCES 1916"

            This is the postcard that I paid the most in my collection : "Liquides enflammés expériences 1916", this card comes from an alpine hunter's album 2 postcards were sold at the same time I could only buy this one, the second was a close-up on a hole with flamethrower as in the foreground. This more remote view is interesting we see a flame thrower with jet of oil another group waiting in the foreground a lance with what I believe to be grenades to ignite the liquid. It may be a fixed flame thrower. I seem to have seen a few other photos of this same experience which is quite rare because there are few photos on the French, it did not pass the censorship which did not favor the views of this new weapon if the photos were not from the military photographic service. Soldiers wear leather jackets. I don't know if they are former Paris firefighters I don't know by their involvement at this time of the war but that would be great (I bought it hoping that) so if anyone has more precision I am owner.
