I am stunned by the beauty of this sunlit ginger... it's ruffly edges, its glorious orange veiny patterns, its subtle and amazing transition from pale orange to a deep glowing yellow.

Its leaves are broadly obovate, 10 to 12 inches long, light green and faintly marked with a darker green and have stiff silky hairs on both sides. They grow in low to middle elevation rainforest understory and bloom in the warm months.
