4/100 - Gary

In the way back from a customer I stopped to take some pictures of men repairing a burst water-main, for the February 2011 Monthly Scavenger Hunt. I got invited over for a closer look, and after I'd taken my photo (which didn't really work out), Gary introduced himself. So I took the opportunity to ask for his photo, so I could add him as my first male stranger.

Looking around for a suitable backdrop we settled on the digger, and he chose to do the full pose for me, much to the amusement of his mates.

What I didn't check before taking the picture was how much rain had fallen on my lens. There are too many drops to edit out, so I've left them as a reminder to me to check in future. And I can't help thinking that they add a certain something to the picture anyway.
