5N-RDK 3 Boeing 747-4F6 Kabo Air(delivery) MAN 03SEP15

Named: "HH Muhammad Sanusi II" (The Emir of Kano).

First flown in May-98 with the Boeing test registration N1785B, this aircraft was originally ordered for Philippine Airlines as N755PR but the order was cancelled and the aircraft was stored at Marana, AZ, USA.

It was delivered to SAA South African Airways as ZS-SBK in Dec-98.  It was wet-leased to TAAG Angola Airlines in Jul-08 and returned to South African in Jan-10 when it was stored at Johannesburg, South Africa.

In Jun-10 the aircraft was sold to Babcock & Brown Asset Management and leased to Transaero Airlines (Russia) as VQ-BHW.  It was returned to BBAM in Aug-15 and leased to Kabo Air (Nigeria) as 5N-RDK in Sep-15.  It was returned to BBAM in Aug-16.

It was leased to Eaglexpress Air Charter, (Malaysia) as 9M-AZB the following day and operated on behalf of NAS Air National Air Services, (Saudi Arabia) for a Haj Pilgrimage operation.  The aircraft was returned to Eaglexpress and the lessor in Nov-16 and stored at Victorville, CA, USA.

In Jul-17 it was leased to Terra Avia (Moldova) as ER-BAC and again operated for NAS Air on a Haj Pilgrimage operation.  It was returned to Terra Avia in Oct-17 and stored at Jakarta (CGK), Indonesia.  It remained there until it operated another Haj Pilgrimage for NAS Air between Jul/Sep-18.

The aircraft was wet-leased to NAS Air again in Jul-19 and withdrawn from service and stored at Bandung, Indonesia in Mar-20.  It was returned to Terra Avia in May-20 and ferried to Jakarta-CGK for maintenance and returned to service in mid Jun-20.

It operated it's last service from Lagos, Nigeria to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 29-Jun-21 and was repossessed by the lessor (Babcock & Brown) on arrival.  The aircraft was ferried via Anchorage to Mojave, CA, USA in early Jul-21 and stored.

It was returned to the owner, Fortress Transportation (FTAI) and registered N959WW in early Aug-21 and is probably permanently retired.  It was noted still stored at Mojave in Jul-22, still in basic Fly NAS livery and without engines.  Updated 02-Sep-22.
