CS-TEB 1 Lockheed L1011 Tristar 500 Air Zarco MAN 13FEB00

            Replacing an earlier scanned photo with a better version 20-Feb-22 (DeNoise AI).

Named:  "Naughton Siamo".

Air Zarco, sounds like something out of 'Flash Gordon'!!.  It was later renamed euroAtlantic.

A late-build Tristar, this aircraft was delivered to TAP - Air Portugal as CS-TEB in Mar-83.  It was sold to Tajikistan International Airways in Jul-95 but was repossessed by Air Portugal the following month.

The aircraft was leased to Caribjet as V2-LEO in Mar-96 and immediately wet-leased to Air Mauritius for two months, returning to Caribjet and Air Portugal in May-96 when it was stored at Lisbon, Portugal.

It was eventually re-registered CS-TEB again in Nov-96 and returned to Service.  The aircraft was sold to Air Madeira in Jun-97.  It was sub-leased to SATA Air Azores for a month in May/Jun-99.  Air Madeira was renamed Air Zarco in Nov-99 and became euroAtlantic Airways in Jun-00.

In Feb-01 the aircraft was wet-leased to Kampuchea Airlines for one month, returning in Mar-01.  Citybird (Belgium) also wet-leased it for a month in Jun/Jul-01 and Air Universal wet-leased it for two months between Jan/Mar-03.

It was also wet-leased to BWIA International (West Indies) between Mar/Sep-03 and to PLUNA (Uruguay) between Apr/Jun-06.  This aircraft was the last operational Tristar in Europe and was permanently retired at Amman, Jordan at the end of Mar-10.  Updated 13-Feb-22.
