359. 4X-FPX(098) Boeing 377M Stratocruiser Israeli Air Force LGW 05MAY69

            Replacing an earlier scanned slide with a better version 19-May-15.

Taken on a misty morning at London-Gatwick.

This aircraft was delivered new to American Overseas Airlines in Nov-49 as N90947.  American Overseas was merged into Pan American World Airways in Sep-50.  It was withdrawn from use and stored at San Francisco in 1961.

It was sold to Israel Aircraft Industries in Feb-62 as 4X-AOD, then sold to the Israeli Air Force in Nov-62 as 4X-FOG and converted to a Boeing 377M.  It was re-registered 4X-FPX (serialled 098) in Feb-64 and retired in Israel in Sep-75.
