G-CDKA 1 Saab 2000 Eastern Airways (special Aberdeen livery) MAN 21APR06

            Replacing an earlier digital photo with a better version 09-Jun-21.

This is an early Saab 2000, (Line No: 006 and the 3rd production aircraft), first flown as SE-006 in Jun-93, the aircraft was delivered to Stockholm Aircraft Ltd and leased to Crossair (Switzerland) as HB-IZC in Aug-94.

After Swissair ceased operations, Crossair was re-named Swiss International Airlines at the end of Mar-02.  It was returned to Saab Aircraft as SE-006 in Aug-03 and stored.

The aircraft was leased to Soder Air (Finland) as OH-SRC in Dec-03, but not for long, it was returned to Saab as SE-006 in May-04 and stored again.

It was leased to Eastern Airways (UK) as G-CDKA in Mar-05.  The aircraft wet-leased to BA CityFlyer in May-15 and returned to Eastern Airways in Jun-18.  It was stored at Orebro, Sweden in Aug-18 and returned to service in Jan-19.

The aircraft was withdrawn from service and stored at Orebro in Jul-20 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  It was sold to Jetstream Aviation Capital (USA) as N506FR in Oct-21 and moved to Springfield, MO, USA for further storage.

It was leased to Freight Runners Express in Dec-21.  Now 29 years old it continues in service and is based at Milwaukee, WI, USA.  Current, updated 21-Apr-22.
