I finally learned how to do HDR. I always admired Kris Kros's HDRs (note that KK commented on this photo while I was writing the description so mentioning him here is purely coincidental) especially after reading about him in the New York Times article on HDR.

Last week-end, i attended the betterphoto.com summit here in Chicago and their Photoshop guru, Lewis Kemper, had a session on Saturday afternoon on how to work on HDRs . It so happened that they scheduled a scavenger hunt that evening to take photos of objects and sceneries around Chicago - one of the clues was cubes from which water flows - and of course it was the Crown Fountain. So for my entry for that clue, I followed Kemper's steps for HDR and came up with this result. Hope you like it and sorry for the night sky - we spent so much time taking pictures of the Chicago Picasso so that when we arrived at Millennium Park, the sky was already black :-(.

I got to go back there just after dusk, maybe tonight ... oh wait, I don't want to miss Dancing With The Stars ... tomorrow then ... oh wait ... aaargh!
