Porthole - a photo on Flickriver

Porthole

            View from one of the round porthole-like windows along the cornice of the Sta. Fe Building on Michigan Ave.   The floor of the building from which this photograph was taken are the offices of the renowned architecture firm, Goettsch Partners.  Public access to the floor was provided during the Open House Chicago event of the Chicago Architecture Foundation in mid October 2011.

The Santa Fe Building (aka Railway Exchange Building) was designed by Daniel Burnham's company and is on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Chicago Architecture Foundation is located on the ground floor.
