Meadow Pipit Perched - a photo on Flickriver

            These birds have a quite predictable habit of using high points as lookouts, ideally a fence post a gause bush or as in this case a rocky outcrop.

So if you position yourself close to one of these locations within minutes you will be rewarded with a return visit and a great photo opportunity.
