Everybody loves an eruption - a photo on Flickriver

            This blend of 57 long exposures shows helicopters and airplanes hovering around the Geldingadalir eruption for a 30 minute duration between 21:42 to 22:17 on april 6th, 2021. I was located in Seltjarnarnes, next to Reykjavik and had a Canon EF 500/4L IS lens set for 20-30 second long exposures, shot on a Canon EOS R6. Distance between camera and eruption is about 31 kilometers. Some camera shake is inevitable with such a long lens. My primary purpose that night wasn't for shooting a timelapse but I thought it would be fun experiment.
