Stickley-Hyatt House - a photo on Flickriver

            This old house sits right along the side of the road near Hardy's Creek on the Flatwood's Road (just below the Flatwood's Elementary School) in Lee County Virginia. I have driven past it a gazillion times, but for some reason never thought to stop and photograph it until Christmas Eve day. As I went past, I noticed it was empty (it has been sold and resold and occupied a gazillion times as well). Immediately, I thought it would really make a nice black and white shot, so I turned around and took a  few shots from off the steps that lead up the bank from the road. I'm not sure how hold this relic is, but it is getting some age on it. There's a little red building right across the road that once held a little store. That building is in much better shape, and I have posted a photo of it way back when.
