Waves and Light

            Upper Antelope Canyon offers the most incredible photo opportunities.  The narrow canyon goes for about 300 feet from beginning to end.  

I've added it to the map.  If you go to the site there are two canyons, upper and lower.  The lower canyon experienced a tragedy in 1997, a flash flood came through the canyon killing 11 people.  When you visit this place you will see how dangerous it could be in a flash flood.  

You can hire Navajo guides at the site or go into Page, AZ and find several touring companies.  I was very lucky to have a  friend who had "connections."  She arranged for a wonderful tour with the Overland Touring Co. for just the 3 of us.  All the other tours had many more people.  We felt special, and thankful to have the opportunity to take our time on this tour.  Of course I could have spent the entire day there.  The light is constantly changing, it's a remarkable place.
