Wired moon next to Venus - a photo on Flickriver

A thin crescent Moon is to the right of Venus this evening. I nearly missed this, and had to 'make do'; as it was, I was on a ladder, with the camera propped-up with a rag, on top of the block wall... and had to set a 10-second delayed timer so I could focus, then no touch the camera. Worked-out Okay, me thinks!

Tonight it is balmy! We are having an unusually warm week, and the skies are very clear!
