Hommage to Escher's Drawing Hands (1989)

            Hommage to M.C. Eschers "Drawing Hands" shot in 1989 ..... 
(Nearly) no tricks, no computer, no digital manipulations -  Just my brain, my Hasselblad, and my darkroom.....

I shot a dozen left hands of Steffi (Steffi with the two left hands - haha) on Technical Pan. In the darkroom I composed two of them  on one sheet barytpaper (matte). Parts of this sheet I cut out, layed it on wood and made a repro (Technical Pan again) with the "correct" shadow.

Today I just scanned a print and removed dust and scratches. It's real analogue photography.

Wanna see my 1988-version of "Rinds"? An awful experiment with a combination of darkroom and airbrush technique..... I'll scan it in the next days.
