A Cinereous Tit foraging in the canopy!

            One of two species of tits we get in our region - this is by far the common one and found in thick wooded areas in the cities and countryside. It is a resident bird and an easy to id bird due to its colors. The birds are often seen in pairs foraging in the canopy of banyan trees or other large trees. This one was shot on a Banyan tree.

The birds forage mainly by gleaning - which is plucking them out from the crevices of branches, ground or from flowers. They eat insects, spiders, caterpillars and other bugs found on the trees. 

In this scene, we were shooting a Grey Headed Canary Flycatcher while this pair joined the hunt.
