Lake Tekapo evening - a photo on Flickriver

            I have been to Lake Tekapo twice before but never with the wild lupins in bloom. They were far more widespead  than I had imagined with a beautiful blanket of colour around the lakeside and the church (which was behind me). There had been quite a wind for the preceding couple of days which helped disturb the the water bringing out the bright blue colour from suspended particles of rock flour.
This was taken shortly after sunset - the couple stayed there just long enough for me to get the shot
