            P. J. Shovlin, 65, Of Plains, Dies
Patrick J. Shovlin of 100 Powell Street, Plains Township, died this morning at 3:45 in WilkesBarre General Hospital following a heart attack at home. He was 65.
Born in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Catherine Burke Shovlin and resided in Plains the last 55 years. He was employed by the Lehigh Valley Railroad for 14 years as a repairman and signalman. At the time of his death, he was employed as a school crossing guard in Plains.
Mr. Shovlin was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Plains, and its Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Meyers of Plymouth; daughter, Mrs. Regina Woznitski, at home; two sons, Cornelius, Trucksville, and Charles, Garfield, N. J.; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Miss Marie Shovlin, Plains; Leo. Plains; Dr. John, Superintendent of Farview State Hospital, Waymart; Mrs. Frances Ashe, RN, Springfield, Mass.; Mrs. Margaret Cawley, Plains: Sgt. Cornelius, with the State Police at Harrisburg: Gerald, Pittston; Mrs. Dorothy МасDonaugh, Trucksville: Mrs. Eileen Krubitzer, RN, Plains.
The funeral will be held from the M. J. Mikelski Funeral Home, 293 South River Street, Plains, Tuesday morning at 9. A requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 in Sacred Heart Church with interment in the parish cemetery, Plains. Friends may call Sunday and Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 10.
