Lochan na h-Achlaise - a photo on Flickriver

            The wonderful Gaelic name of this irregularly shaped pond means Armpit Lake. Maybe let's keep it in Gaelic. Edited on my laptop in the hotel bar a few miles down the road. 

The highlands of Scotland have magnificent landscapes and wide-open terrain very different from the dark forests of home. We've been lucky with the weather for this time of year. I have to admit that I will not miss the ubiquitous squelchy bogs that suck you in wherever you go.
