On 4th October 2015 it was revealed that the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) had partially destroyed the nearly 2,000-year-old Arch of Triumph in the ancient city of Palmyra, Syria. The destruction of the Arch has continued since then.
The imagery above shows the sequential destruction of the Arch of Triumph.

Lower image: 3rd November 2015

The initial damage is documented in the upper image, and showed that two of the four arches had been destroyed by 4th October. The most recent footage (in the lower image) from 3rd November shows all four of the arches have now been destroyed.
