Ensaimadas de Maiorca - a photo on Flickriver

            Há anos que não as fazia e antigamente fazia com muita frequência. 
Soube bem matar saudades. 
E já se comeram todas :-)

RECEITA:
Dissolva 15 g de fermento de padeiro em 5 colheres de sopa de leite morno e deixe repousar polvilhado com um pouco de farinha.
Numa tigela, bata 1 ovo com 2 colheres de sopa de óleo e junte ao fermento, com 250g de farinha sem fermento, 50g de açúcar e 1 colher de chá de sal.
Amasse até obter uma massa elástica, coloque numa tigela untada, cubra com película aderente e deixe levedar.
Volte a amassar numa superfíce enfarinhada e divida a massa em 16 partes iguais.
Com cada uma, faça um rolinho comprido e mergulhe numa tigela com 50 g de mateiga sem sal derretida.
Faça um caracol com a massa e coloque num tabuleiro untado e enfarinhado e deixe levedar. Quando estiver do dobro do tamanho, leve ao forno e em estando cozido, polvilhe com açúcar em pó, deixando arrefecer sobre uma rede.
