Abandoned in 1956 - a photo on Flickriver

Abandoned in 1956

The East Broad Top RR ceased operation on 1956, hence about 68 years of rust and tie decay. The I-beams form the narrow gauge bridge got the wye track in Robertsdale. The whole bridge seen in the attached pic fascinates me as the beam on the left is held by a turnbuckle pictured above on this end, but not on the other end. fascinating construction.
