Huge basalt boulders... 20030928_032

Before the Ice Age floods occurred, these boulders were part of a deep layer of basalt that filled this area. The flood waters ripped them loose and left them sitting here. Or they weren't ripped or flipped at all, and represent undisturbed basalt. They are about 20 feet (6 m) tall.
