Lee is homeless in Liverpool and sells the Big Issue on Church Street and Bold Street. He is an alcoholic but this isn't the reason he became homeless. He became an alcoholic after time sleeping rough using alcohol as a way to survive. He's currently trying to reduce his daily alcohol intake and get into rehab.
